Elisa was dedicated at church this week. Here she is in her dress. Click here to read Carolyn's summary of the days events.

Yesterday morning when I woke up it was 65 degrees. By lunch it was 27. Today I woke up and it was 19, and the high was close to 50. Weird.

6 Weeks

This was a big week for Elisa. Today she's six weeks old and went to the Dr's office. We found out she weighs 10lb 9oz and is 22 1/2 inches long. She's in the 75% for weight, length, and head size. Her umbilical cord fell off ealier in the week leaving a really cute belly botton. After that she had her first bath, as you can see from the pictures. I'm pretty sure she liked it.

Lamborghini Absurdity

In the name of ridiculous spending Lamborghini has introducted their new $1.4 million Reventon. It's frame and panels are carbon-fiber and has a 650hp 6.5-liter V12. 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds. Click here for the Popular Mechanics article and video on it. It's so expensive that you can buy a brand new Porsche 911 GT2 that gets to 60mph only .3 seconds slower than the Reventon and save $1.2 million. After reading about it I reached the conclusion that it would be immoral to buy this car.

I'm very impressed with Amazon's customer service. I don't think I ever returned something to them before, but due to the previous post about our car seat I got my first chance. We sent the car seat back and waited to hear back from them. To make a long story short it had been over a month since we sent it off to them and we still didn't get any money back. So, I looked up the phone number and found a "we'll call you" feature so you don't have to wait on hold. They called right away and I was talking to a customer service rep in no time. She was kind and very helpful. After about 15 minutes and before we even hung up I had received an email with our refund. Then she threw in a $20 credit for the inconvenience. I'm impressed and very grateful.

Favorite Times

I love watching her wake up and stretch.

Frosty Spoiler

It is my great pleasure and joy to say congratulations to Carolyn's brother John and his girlfriend Kristine on their engagement! They got engaged on New Year's eve. No news on the wedding date yet, but we'll no doubt be there. In the words of Jack Sparrow, "A wedding? I love weddings. Drinks all around!"

Well, the Spring semester has begun here at JBU. It's nice having everyone back. On Monday night we had a series of severe storms that let to us being under Tornado watch and hiding in the basement for about two hours. It turns out that a tornado did touch down only a mile or two from campus. Click here for a video of the sirens going off and the lightening that lasted all night (No need to watch the whole thing, first minute you get the idea. Fast forward to 4:00 and you'll see a great shot of a lightening strike).

Elisa is 4 weeks old today. She's doing great and slept for 6 hours last night. She's starting to really hold her head up and is growing really fast.

In sports news the Blazers are still playing great basketball. They are first in their division for the first time in 6 1/2 years, only a couple months before Carolyn & I got married.
