I'm Back
I got home around midnight on Thursday from the conference. We had a good time and my favorite speaker of the week (by far) was Dr. Lauren Winner. She was very well spoken, had a lot of good things to say, and was the only speaker to ask for questions and comments from the crowd.
Some other highlights of the week included meeting 20 or so other new professionals. It was great to make new friends and have contacts outside of JBU. Since we arrived a day early we spent it at King's Island. It was great to ride some coasters and do the whole amusement park thing. It had been a while. We also hit IKEA and the Underground Railroad Museum in Cincinnati. The museum was great and well worth the time.
On the way home we figured out that we had been in 7 states in less than 48 hours (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Illinois).
