End of an Era

The Blazers waived Darius Miles yesterday and if all goes as planned the remaining $48 million of his contract won't count against the salary cap (he'll still get the money though). The Blazers should be able to add even more young talent with this new found cap room. Miles hasn't played in two whole seasons after injuring his knee and is the last remnant of the Jailblazer era. It's nice to have him gone. Portland has two games left of the season and could very well end the season without a loosing record. It was only two years ago they were the worst in the league going 21-61. This was a great building year that gave a lot of experience to this young team, they should be able to make the playoffs next year.

Everyone raise your glass and lower your head. This is a delightfully momentous occasion.
Amen....I kind of feel bad for the guy but it certainly is the closing of that chapter.

I was so excited when I heard this on the radio that I almost yelled for joy in the car by myself. All good things must come to an end... thankfully bad things have ends too.
