Philosophy

I guess it comes down to your philosophy of government, but it seems a little over the top for the LA city council to ban fast food restaurant development in the poor section of South LA. I appreciate the government trying to help people live healthier lives (fight obesity), but in a "free market" society should they be able to dictate to this level? They'd be just as effective if they didn't allow grocery stores in that neighborhood to sell soft drinks. I guess I'm working under the biased perspective of seeing a great "fast food" company from the inside prove there is such a thing as healthy locally sustainable fast-food (with green energy no less). Burgerville has plenty of healthy alternatives and even their classic fast food fair is the best you can get.
