Our First House Guest

Carolyn & I drove to Tulsa on Saturday to pick up Mom in the afternoon. Somehow we missed her walking into the greeting area and she wandered around for ½ before we found her. Tulsa is a small airport too-our bad. So we drove around the city and had dinner at nice little Italian place at RiverWalk Crossing. The next day was Mom’s birthday and we dove deep into Oklahoma culture by going to the Tulsa State Fair. You know how fair food is, well we ate it. The highlight was frozen cheesecake on a stick dipped in chocolate and drizzled with caramel. To cap off our day of culinary delights Mom got to go to America's Drive-In for her birthday dinner at Sonic. Mom was able to stay through Wednesday and we showed her all the sights in Siloam Springs (There aren’t very many). It was so great to have time to hang out together and to show off our new home. Fun times had by all.
